In fruit, however, the heads of Trifolium fragiferum inflate to about the size and shape of a (wild) strawberry, complete with brown ‘achenes’.

The leaflets of Trifolium fragiferum are similar to those of Trifolium repens, but with recurved, thickened veins, more like the leaves of Trifolium scabrum.
