MAKAQueS apps, including ‘MAKAQueS – interactive key to the British / Irish flora’ and ‘Log-Steady’ collect no personally identifying information. As a result, no user data is or can be stored, shared or aggregated. When viewing images through the ‘Gallery’ of MAKAQueS, a hash of your device’s ID forms part of the HTML request and may appear in subsequent server logs; this allows me to estimate the number of different users and distinguish real users from tests carried out as part of the development process.
